HONGKONG.
GOVERNMENT HOUSE.
2nd. December, 1918.
I have the honour to recommend the grant
to Mr. Ingham Sutcliffe, Assistant Locomotive Superintendent, Kowloon-Canton Railway of a bonus for the year 1918 at the rate of $80 a month, plus ten per centum, equal to a sum of
$1,056.
2.
In the absence of Mr. C. D. Lembert on War Service, Mr. Sutcliffe has had to perform the duties of Locomotive Superintendent single-handed, which has necessitat- -ed his working for long hours daily and on all Sundays and holidays. The work has been done with great zeal and efficiency, with the result that the locomotives and rolling stock generally have been kept in good ruming order in the face of considerable difficulties.
3.
If you agree with my recommendation I should be glad to receive your approval by telegraph.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient,
humble servant,
Annsteven
Officer Administering the Government.
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
